Delete your DicText account
This page explains how to permanently delete your account and all associated data for DicText AI Voice Keyboard (Google Play) and DicText on the App Store, Mac and Windows — all one account, from ArenOrg. Deletion is irreversible.
1. Request deletion online — no app required
You do not need the app installed to delete your account. Email contact@arenorg.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete my DicText account”.
We confirm your identity, delete the account and its associated data, and email you to confirm — within 30 days, and normally within a few days.
2. Or delete from inside the app
You can delete your account from any DicText app:
- iPhone or iPad: open DicText, tap the Account tab, scroll to Danger Zone, tap Delete Account and confirm.
- Android: open DicText, go to Account, scroll to Danger Zone, tap Delete Account and confirm.
- Mac: open DicText, go to Account, and click Delete account.
- Windows: open DicText, go to Account, and click Delete account.
Your account is removed immediately. You will be signed out, and the same email may be used to register a new account later.
3. Cancel any active subscription
Cancel it where you bought it:
- iPhone or iPad (App Store): open Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, tap DicText, and choose Cancel Subscription.
- Android (Google Play): open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, tap DicText and choose Cancel subscription.
- Card payment (Mac, Windows, or bought on this website): open the DicText app on your Mac or Windows PC, go to Plans, and click Manage subscription — that opens the secure billing portal where you can cancel or update your card.
Bought on iPhone, iPad or Android? Only Apple or Google can cancel that subscription — we cannot cancel it for you, and deleting your account will not stop the billing.
What is deleted
- Your authentication account (email, sign-in identifiers).
- Your registered devices.
- Usage records (daily voice minutes, monthly characters).
- Profile data stored on our backend.
What we keep, and why
- An anonymised entry in our account-deletion log for up to 12 months (proof we honoured your request, fraud prevention).
- Records we are legally required to retain (for example, invoice metadata for accounting/tax purposes), kept only as long as the law requires.
We do not retain your voice recordings or transcribed text — those are not stored beyond the immediate transcription step. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
